A WHOLE NEW WORLD
"From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live."

Greetings from Texas.

After a whirlwind of emotions Space-A traveling puts you through,
anxiousness
worrisomeness
belly-turning (Does that count as an emotion?)
I have landed on Texas soil.

After analyzing every which way, every situation, every point of view (sorry B and Amanda) that could possibly happen trying to get on the military aircraft, that contains a measly 32 seats and flys out of Lajes to Baltimore a mere once a week, it was pure success!!!

You see there is this coveted list the terminal holds which has 5 sets of category placements on it. Being a dependent, with out my independent active duty member I am specially placed on the bottom of that list. All active duty members get priority, which I totally get and could see cat-fights arising if it wasn't this way, so after this huge inspection that just passed I had a hunch anybody and everyone was trying to make a clean break to civilization aka the land where things aren't always closed and I would be left still at the bottom of the list.

Let me tell you from experience, calling and bugging the terminal everyday doesn't move you up the list. Neither does expressing your thoughts about it to your husband day to day. It is always a roll of the dice and I tried to remain faithful that I would be one of the lucky chosen 32 seats. Low and behold I made it on and after some flying, some waiting, some more waiting, and some more flying I met my destination around 3:00am Azores time

If you look at the time-stamp of this post you can probably guess it takes longer than 6 hours to adjust to a different time zone and leads to writing about nothing at 5:40am (central time) this morning.

Talk with you when I return home in 2 weeks.
